Nuclear power damage caused by earthquakes in Japan

We felt that the damage was not repaired in the first nuclear power plant in Fukushima Japan last Friday, met on March 11, an earthquake of magnitude 9.0 northern Honshu, Iceland, Japan, at about 03.00 clock Local. A tsunami of mass and 19.03 clock, the first emergency declaration was issued. The clock at 08.50, an evacuation order for residents in a diameter of three km of the power plant has been granted. The reactor first, second and third automaticallyOperation is stopped and cut off all power. They lost the cooling function.

On the second and third day of hydrogen explosions came in first and third reactors. The radioactive wastes were released into the environment, and recorded radiation in air, water and food by far higher than normal. Efforts to continuous cooling, and radiation reduced in the last week of March. However, the recovery of damages not covered by the April 3 has been reported to the 2011thDamage includes the possibility of a collapse, the worst accident in a nuclear reactor.

Earthquake & Tsunami In Japan

When I heard the news in California, my first thought was that this would give a week or so busy. I thought that at least a concrete plan and a timetable would be developed and released in three to five days. In fact, the most damage were later revealed as time passes. The situation has obviously become progressively worse over the lastWeeks. I was surprised. The damage and the incident could not be adequately corrected in a few days, despite the world-class technology of the Japanese nuclear power generation.

Although my opinion on use of nuclear power as an energy source is neutral, I have a problem because of the destructive nature of the power source. I could not help but think people need to make the right decision to use nuclear energy for an alternative energy source. The stories reminded me of damage and accidentsChinese ancient history with nature. It 'was a story from the Zhuangzi. Although the legs of the crane birds are too long, if you cut the birds would not survive. Even if the legs are short of sparrows if they are produced, it would not work. The long legs of birds cranes were to keep them dry while standing in water, the short legs of sparrows are safe to stand on the branches of trees.

I hope that is not the use of nuclear energy trying to changeimmutable nature: in other words, shortening, action for the legs of cranes and extend the legs of the sparrows. Otherwise, I hope we can establish a comprehensive countermeasures for this type of natural disaster.
