California Earthquake Next?

Well it seems as if we have had our share of Natural Disasters in the Summer of 2005, with the Gulf Coast flattened, New Orleans Flooded and still more Hurricanes to come. Can it categorically get any worse? Well with ocean temperatures in the Gulf just one or two degrees below 90 degrees, you can bet any Hurricane entering the Gulf of Mexico under any force with room to run, will come to be very large very fast. We should therefore expect at least two more large Hurricanes in the Gulf during the remainder of the 2005 Hurricane Season.

But Hurricanes are not the only disaster we worry of in our civilization. Earthquakes come without warning and depending on the type of fault and size can destroy much more than a Hurricane and in only a concentrate of minutes. Is California, Oregon or Washington State next? Some Geologists say it is. One modern description shows South Vancouver Island is ready to go North of Seattle. Other scientists and self-proclaimed Earthquake prediction experts predict a strong Earthquake between September 18 and 28 and there are any all saying the same thing. Although California has strict construction codes, there are 8700 masonry buildings, which are predicted to fall in a 7.5 or greater quake. Some 900 Hospitals are said to not be able to withstand a 7.5 or greater. If you think Hurricane Katrina was a problem, you have not seen whatever yet, say Earthquake experts.

What makes the September dates so likely? Why the predictions now? Well the self proclaimed Earthquake predictors often site many things. For instance; The changes in the resonance of salt and fresh water during high seas from storms. Currently there are 3 Hurricanes in the Pacific off the Coast of Mexico. They also site the modern solar flares due to sunspot 798 and the many X-flares recently, even though we are suppose to be in the middle of a solar minimum. This combined with the storm surges on plates thru water weight can be problematic in them selves. The later weeks of September is also a time of the Harvest Moon which changes things as well. One thinker recommend that the Earth's core has a 400-700 year cycle of one supplementary rotation more than the rest of the planet and that the core is not round, which means superplumes can form in a cycle sequence, he equates the old volcanic and seismic performance from old times in those cycles to now.
